Pet Remedy works by providing a highly attractive environmental scent that pets like cats and dogs respond to. In times of stress or anxiety our pets can get over stimulated, which leads on to the many different signs of stress we see in them. The special Pet Remedy blend of essential oils is valerian based and works by distracting pets from environmental stress. Cats, dogs and other pets have highly developed olfactory systems and are particularly capable of detecting volatile scents. The living environment of pets largely determines their quality of life and the importance of environmental scents is recognized as a key factor in helping anxious or stressed pets feel calmer and more relaxed. Always consult your vet if your pet shows signs of stress or you observe any behavioural changes.

Product nutritional
Valerian absolute oil
Valerian is a perennial herb with short rhizomes, aromatic feathery leaves and clusters of small pink or white flowers. There are over 260 different species of Valerian worldwide but only a few have the attractive calming properties and we obtain optimum results for Pet Remedy from Valeriana Officinalis. This species is native to Europe, North America, and the northern part of Asia. Valerian absolute oil is obtained by cold extraction from the rhizomes of the plant, Valeriana Officinalis, and has been used as an attractant for many species of animals. We source our absolute oil from Europe where our valerian plants are grown organically using only pig manure as fertilizer.
Other essential oils used in the Pet Remedy formulation – Vetiver, Sweet Basil and Clary Sage are included and give a faint pleasant aroma to the formulation.
Vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides) is a tough, aromatic grass and the essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the roots of this grass which belongs to the same botanical family as lemongrass, citronella and palmarosa. It is extracted from the washed, chopped, dried and soaked roots and rootlets by steam distillation. The aroma is earthy and we source Vetiver from Haiti and Java.
Sweet Basil (Ocimum basilicum) is an aromatic herb with lush green leaves. The essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and the flowering tops. It is commonly used in aromatherapy and we source Sweet Basil from Europe and Egypt.
Clary Sage (Salvia Sclaria) is a biennial herb, native to the Mediterranean and parts of Europe. Clary Sage essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the buds and leaves. We source our Clary Sage essential oil from France.
Product feeding
Wipe on pet bedding, bandana, or just gently rub around muzzle, under chin, and top of chest! You only need a good wipe and this will last between 2 and 6 hours depending on the individual pet.
For bonding rabbits gently rub around muzzles of rabbits. This helps with scent swapping as well as calming, which in turn helps speed up the bonding process. This same procedure can be used for bonding other pets such as dogs, cats, rodents, and horses.
For small mammals and birds as they have small lung capacity, place the cloth near them.
When out walking or training an anxious dog, use the cloth to gently rub around the muzzle and top of chest. Same applies for horses. You can even wipe your trouser leg and bring the dog to heel to take in the Pet Remedy aroma.
