These professional formulas were developed on an award-winning tropical fish farm based in Florida.
Forty-five years ago there were no premium tropical fish foods, so the owners of the farm had to develop one. It took a lot of this and little of that before they got it right.
From the very beginning Xtreme decided to source all the ingredients, packaging and labelling from American companies. They have kept that promise.
Why feed your fish Xtreme?
Xtreme developed a catalogue of products to feed all kinds of fish in all kinds of environments. They had to because 45 years ago there was nothing to feed the farm of 500,000 ornamental tropical fish.
Ten years ago we started feeding fish we did not farm: guppies, egg layers, livebearers and other community fish found in fish-keepers’ tanks.
Marine fish can be finicky eaters too, but we discovered that great proteins like Shrimp, Krill and Squid found in all our formulas were perfect for them as well.
Everything begins at the farm, real-life testing, trial and error formulations combine with suggestions from our retailers.
